Job Description
We are seeking a talented highly motivated Accounting Supervisor to join high growth organization to help scale, by implementing new processes and procedures, drive efficiency and automation while delivering timely actionable financial information. This role will be responsible for month end close processes, financial reporting, financial analysis while keeping a keen eye on efficiency improvement. Success in this role requires attention to detail with excellent collaboration and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers rewarding challenges.

Responsibilities

• Uses general ledger accounting software to record journal entries for more complex areas
• Researches and makes recommendations to resolve unusual or irregular transactions.
• Reconciles more complex general ledger accounts, prepares analyses and completes other monthly general ledger closing procedures.
• Reviews journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations performed by staff
• Analyzes general ledger accounts to identify unusual transactions and makes recommendations to resolve.
• Prepares/ reviews reports of financial information for management.
• Develops new policies and procedures to help scale organization
• Proactively assists in identifying and implementing improvements in both manual and IT-dependent accounting and reporting processes
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting analysis to arrive at a proposal of accounting treatment
• Work independently and cross-functionally with teams across the organization to take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty
• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls, and provide support on special requests when necessary
• Assist with preparation for external auditor annual procedures
• Assists in training others
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience and 2+ years at Big4 firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree required.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP accounting
• Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented, requiring limited supervision
• Advanced Excel skills
• Master's degree in related field and/or CPA, CMA or potential candidate preferred.
• People leadership experience

Bonus Experience

• Experience in the medical or tech industry is a plus
• Experience with SaaS is a plus
• Experience working with Sage's Intact financial software is a plus
