About the Company

HSF Affiliates LLC, the parent company of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services and Real Living Real Estate brands has an opportunity for an Accounting Technician (Accounts Receivable) to join our Finance team. We are a subsidiary of HomeServices of America, and an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.

Summary

In this role you will perform a range of accounting duties and provide support to the department.

Detailed Description

The Accounting Technician (Accounts Receivable) will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Process Check Deposits and monitor incoming receipts (wires/ACHs)
• Process Credit Card Collections
• Process Daily ACH Cash Collection
• Record daily Oracle Subledger transactions and monthly GL entries
• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Perform Credit Checks on potential clients
• Responsible for various billings process such as Referral Fee as well as ad-hoc billings
• Prepare company/Agent/Office reports
• Support Monthly close activities
• Other ad-hoc projects
• Participate in accounting month-end close by preparing various journal entries
• Preparing Oracle Forms
• Maintain the department’s journal entries file, including Journal entry numbering and filing
• Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

Work Experience/Qualifications

Education

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or General Business or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience

• 1 year Accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred
• Maintaining accounts receivable files and records.
• Assisting in general financial management and analysis.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting.
• Attention to detail.
• Proactive and flexible.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Data entry proficiency and working knowledge of accounting software and programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with different levels of employee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.85 - $33.00 per hour
