Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for the daily Accounts Payable coordination for Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Verification of vendor invoices and inputting the information into the accounting system is the main focus of the position. In addition, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for producing and mailing out of vendor checks and processing of all related reports. Position has a lot of interaction with SMR employees and its vendors. A key part of this position is working with and keeping the SMR Accounting Department updated daily on any vendor/Accounts Payable issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Batching and verification of vendor invoices
- Input of vendor invoice information into computerized accounting system
- Maintain current vendor contract and insurance certificate files
- Proofing of data entry
- Oversee printing of checks and preparing checks for signature
- Printing and batching of accounts payable reports
- Mail out of vendor checks including obtaining release of liens
- Communication with employees and vendors on status of check
- Provide updates to SMR accounting personnel
- Prior experience in a computerized accounts payable environment
- General computer knowledge
- Well organized with attention to details
- Professional work demeanor
- Good communication skills
- Ability to focus on job at hand
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M
