Accounts Payable Clerk
Job description
Optimus Properties, LLC (www.optimuspropertiesllc.com), a Real Estate Investment and Property Management Company located in Century City, CA, is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the senior and staff accounting team to process payments by receiving, organizing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, and will also assist in other accounting-related functions and office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness company-wide.
This position is full-time, non-exempt.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in preparing and processing all vendor invoices via Yardi and BillPay
- Reconciles and allocates invoices (billbacks)
- Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries timely
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing invoices and billing statements, and resolving discrepancies
- Files and maintains electronic vendor and loan files
- Set-up new entity documents (DBA, LLC-5)
- Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (proficient-advanced)
- Yardi and BillPay software (required)
- Real estate and property management background (ideal)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and function well in a high-paced environment
- Proven ability to maintain high level of confidential and sensitive information
EDUCATION
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
