About us

Established East Bay construction company seeking a skilled individual to fill our Accounts Payable/Payroll/Contract Admin position. Direct hire position with a flexible work schedule, between 30 to 35 hours per week. Remote work is not available.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but is not limited to:

• Full cycle Accounts Payable: Match, code and process vendor invoices; ensure quantity and price accuracy; address and resolve price discrepancies; prepare and process weekly AP check runs; reconcile vendor statements; and, assist with month-end close.
• Maintain vendor files and requirements (insurance, W9's, etc.)
• In-house Payroll Processing: New hire setup; timecard audit including GL/cost code review; weekly payroll processing (40-50 employees); certified payroll processing; garnishment set up and withholding; and various duties as assigned.
• Contract Administration: Process Subcontracts; set up new job files; order insurance; maintain change order logs, etc.
• Answer and direct telephone calls not handled by company's automated phone system.
• Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Payroll position required
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
• Construction experience preferred
• Excellent 10-key and data entry skills required
• Experience with ProContractor software a plus
• Must be organized and work well independently
