Scenic Rivers Health Services is a growing nonprofit healthcare organization located throughout beautiful Northern Minnesota. We provide comprehensive primary care services to our patients through our medical and dental services. SRHS embraces the team approach to healthcare.

Our Cook clinic is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable & Medical Billing Clerk. This position will complete billing functions related to patient insurance charges for the medical and dental clinics in Cook and Tower, MN. This position may also be cross-trained to perform additional billing functions when appropriate.

Accounts Receivable & Medical Billing Clerk Responsibilities:

• Enter provider charges into data practice management system
• Submit health insurance claims to appropriate insurance companies, correct information as needed in order to minimize rejections, and follow up as appropriate
• Balance quarterly Medicare credit reports to reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure all health insurance is billed for patient accounts by month-end deadlines
• Reconcile and submit financial reports to the Chief Financial Officer
• Maintain and update patient billing account
• Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies before, during, and after the submission of insurance claims
• Comply with HIPAA requirements and standards to ensure patient confidentiality

• Medical and dental billing and customer service experience, 4 or more years preferred

This position requires a physical presence in the workplace. Telecommuting option is not available.
