JOB SUMMARYKlamath Community College is seeking adjuncts to teach on-line and face to face Early Childhood education courses on a term-by-term basis. Courses are taught online, face-to-face, and/or in a remote format utilizing Zoom.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares for and teaches Early Childhood Education courses in accordance with current course content and outcome guides. Participates in evaluation, assessment of student academic achievement, and modification of teaching techniques in accordance with assessment feedback. Cultivates a variety of teaching styles in order to provide quality learning experiences to a diverse student population.Submits academic information such as course syllabi, final grade reports, assessment data, and mid-term grades on time utilizing the institution’s reporting procedures. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLETo perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the position description satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Possesses strong computer skills and commitment to the use of technology in instruction.Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally in oral and written formats, including effective presentation skills.Proficient with general office skills.Possess a knowledge of a wide range teaching and learning theory. Teaching experience in a community college preferred.Experience with Canvas LMS preferred.Fluency in Spanish Preferred. Teaching experience in mixed instructional modalities including on-line, hybrid and face to face Previous college teaching experience, preferably in a community college Demonstrated ability to teach students from diverse backgroundsPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSFrequently moving from stationary sitting positions to standing and walking.
