DESCRIPTION
Purpose of Position: This is a full time position that is key to the interface with staff and parishioners through responsibilities including bulletin, receptionist duties, and providing administrative duties in support of Parish and Supervisor. This role functions with a high level of confidentiality and serves as a collaborative member of the staff to implement the mission of the Church and to support the vision of the Pastor.

Representative Responsibilities
- Bulletin Editor
- Prepare weekly by compiling, proofing, verifying, and editing information for publication and transmitting to publisher by deadline.
- Receptionist
- Welcome and assist visitors and parishioners with their requests.
- Incoming calls
- Answer basic questions, take messages, direct calls, and transfer to appropriate staff
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail each day and office deliveries.
- Administrative Assistant
- Purchasing Office/kitchen supplies for departments
- Mail Meter and Copier Machines Supplies/Maintenance
- ManageThe Catholic Spirit subscription and distribution list
- Timely order of contribution envelopes
- Assist staff administratively with various projects
- Generate Mass intentions for Masses and Funeral notices
- Business Office
- Complete multiple functions including letters to donors as needed, entry work to Parishsoft, Offering envelopes entry, PASC materials copying weekly, etc.
- Assist Business Administrator in items such as Excel sheet entry, special projects, Pace/Prism, HR form management, and other admin. duties per direction by Supervisor.
- Staff Back-up as needed for database, scheduling system, records, background checks, phone system

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or higher degree desired and/or 3 years of administrative support
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and follow-through.
- Confidentiality and discretion with staff, parishioner, Parish information.
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment and follow through to complete tasks and projects
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative to complete, coordinate projects with minimal supervision
- Desired Proficiency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher), Parishsoft, and E Space scheduling system. Training can be provided if needed. Ability to learn other computer programs as job need requires.
- Pass Archdiocesan background check and complete VIRTUS
- Ability to make decisions and work independently within scope of responsibilities
- Artistic media proficiency desired, but not required
