Qualifications
1. Some college or post-high school training in clerical/related field preferred
2. Two years experience providing clerical/administrative support/services preferred
3. Knowledge of Medicaid Waivers (policies, procedures, philosophy) preferred
4. Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work tasks, and work effectively in both a team and individual setting.
5. Strong belief in and commitment to integrating people with disabilities into all aspects of community life.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
8. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Ability to effectively interact and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
1. Perform clerical tasks, such as but not limited too: copying, filing, typing, faxing, e-mailing, opening and organizing mail, taking phone calls, organizing bulk mailings, and assist with meeting preparations.
2. Attend all mandatory agency trainings, meetings, in-house sign language class and advocacy groups.
3. Actively support STIC’s mission, philosophy, and values and our pursuit of community integration for all people with disabilities.
4. Assist in ensuring that all mandated documentation, as outlined by the Department of Health, is submitted to the RRDC in a timely manner and notify RRDC Director of provider delinquencies.
5. Responsible for maintaining neat and organized consumer and provider files.
6. Collect and maintain accurate statistical data and assist with preparing reports as required, including submitting monthly exports to the Department of Health.
7. Maintain informational and statistical databases such as but not limited to: CIL Data, mailing lists, DOH participant database, DOH referral and intake database, DOH serious reportable incident database.
8. Participate in provider meetings and trainings. Assist RRDS in preparation of meeting materials.
9. Serve as Intake Coordinator for TBI Program, completing new referrals and coordinating intake appointment with RRDS.
10. Respond to inquiries from individuals, families, nursing homes, and community stakeholders regarding the TBI Waiver Program, refer ineligible individuals to other resources.
11. Assist with community outreach and education to promote awareness of TBI services and related issues.
12. Collect and maintain accurate comprehensive statistical and other data in accordance with STIC’s policies and procedures and submit required reports/forms in a timely manner.
13. Other Roles and Responsibilities as Defined by STIC, DOH and Supported by the RRDC’s Contract with DOH.
