Time Commitment: Full-time position with benefits
Salary range: $32,000

The ArtsCenter is a 501(c)(3) Arts Education non-profit located in Carrboro, North Carolina which offers classes, performances, and art exhibits all year round. The ArtsCenter facilities include a performance theater, classrooms and studios, and an art gallery. The ArtsCenter is the single largest employer of artists in Orange County and serves more than 35,000 students and citizens throughout the area.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or two years related years of experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Analytical Skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Collaborative team player.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and experience with a database management system as well as experience using social media e.g. Instagram, Facebook.
Responsibilities:
The tasks below describe the general nature and level of work performed. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required.
- Provide administrative support to the youth and adult education team: submit instructor payroll forms, process contracts and background checks, create class rosters, manage registrations and refunds, run data collection reports, distribute student and instructor surveys
- Perform front desk duties: greet patrons during regular business hours (9am-5pm), field questions about ArtsCenter programs, answer phone calls, and take payments
- Oversee facility set up needs for classes and events
- Receive deliveries and distribute materials to the appropriate staff members
- Provide staff support as necessary for fundraising events (annual Gala, community engagement events, Capital Campaign informational events, etc.).
- Assist with Membership management and donor customer service: updating membership statuses and payment methods, sending welcome packets to new members, monitoring and resolving payment issues, etc.
- Checking Facebook and Instagram messages for any customer support questions (daily)
- Proofread copy and data entry (when needed)
- Manage the use of the gallery by welcoming the public into the space and assisting artists with the set up and break down of gallery shows
- Model a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion when interacting with the public
- Regularly check in with staff regarding updates in class offerings, performances, events, and facility use
