Job Duties:

  • Assisting the Program Director in maintaining the health and safety of all children and staff members while on the school’s campus
  • Perform administrative duties including copying, scanning, and mailing
  • Track dates, deadlines, and maintain the calendar
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • Maintaining office supplies, school supplies for educators, and any other supplies needed for classrooms and office
  • Assist in maintaining the children’s files. Children’s files are confidential but are open to the inspection of the Department of Social Services, the Program Director, and the Owner/Administrator
  • Assist educators in supervising children using bathrooms, during naps, and in the play area or inside the classroom to meet ratio requirements when understaffed
  • Ability to substitute for education staff in the event of their absence and when no other substitute or staff member is available
  • Maintaining good family and client relations, assist with scheduling tours, and confirming tours for prospective families
  • Preparing enrollment packets for potential families, setting up children’s files, and ensuring all necessary forms are filled out and returned prior to child’s start date
  • Preparing bank deposits to be deposited by the Program Director or Owner
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Position Qualifications:

  • At least 6 ECE Units Required
  • Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages
  • TB Clearance
  • CPR and First Aid certified completed upon first 90 days of hire
  • Physical and TB test
  • Proof of immunizations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
