Job description
Oversees the efficient operation of the counseling center department. Provides receptionist and clerical duties. Maintain counselor’s and director’s calendars. Oversees client appointment scheduling. Assist professional staff with research and outreach projects. Maintains and monitors departmental budgets and contracts under general oversight of the director. Supervises financial transactions, including reconciling accounts. Prepares budgetary reports and does end of the year fiscal close-out for the counseling center. Makes purchases as needed, prepare requisitions, inter-departmental transfers, and budget revisions as needed. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. Supervises graduate assistants and student workers, prepares semester work schedules and makes daily work assignments. Prepares payroll and paperwork for student workers.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of related clerical experience to include a minimum of one year of budgeting experience OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution and two years of related experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with faculty, staff, and students. Excellent computer skills including experience with various office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Banner, and EagleBuy. Experience in a University setting. Experience in a Counseling Center setting.
Work Hours
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience. Clerical & Support Pay Grade 7.
