Overview:
Responsibilities:
The
Administrative Screening Officer (ASO) is responsible to perform access control screening functions of employees and visitors for Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Training Delivery Points (TPD’s) owned or leased buildings and property. ASO will screen all persons entering FLETC facilities to ensure the safety of employees and visitors. The ASO does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers.
Responsibilities:
- Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.
- Will be required to ask standard screening questions for gate/building entry relating to COVID-19.
- Will conduct Forehead Temporal Scanning/temperatures of any incoming guests/personnel upon entry of gate/building.
- Will arrive at work in proper uniform and carrying needed, issued equipment.
- Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
- Will carry out general and special orders for area assigned.
- Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders.
- Control access to buildings and property, protect equipment and material, and perform interior and exterior facility security inspections as directed.
- Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.
- Required to provide exceptional customer service to meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the general public
- Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
- Respond and assist medical, fire department, law enforcement, and other personnel at the direction of supervisors. Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
- Read, speak, understand, and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials in English.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
- Facility access control and screening experience preferred.
- In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior Customer Service and/or prior military, civilian, or security guard experience preferred.
- Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications, and security clearances for the site.
- Required to adhere to all government agency guidelines as it applies to COVID vaccine Attestation/Restrictions.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years.
