MDI is seeking a qualified Admitting Specialist to join our team!

This position is located at our Wauwatosa clinic. Full time, predominately daytime hours with occasional evenings and rotational Saturday coverage.

The Admitting Specialist is responsible for a mix of support activities. These include: scheduling, admitting, insurance eligibility verification, reception and call management.

• Answer multi-line phones and calling to schedule patients for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and X-ray appointments at multiple clinics
• Effectively communicate with radiologic technologists to ensure an exemplary experience for our patients from check-in to check-out
• Work as a team with staff from multiple clinics, utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be required to learn comprehensive knowledge of radiology exams; including contrast studies, patient fasting prep instructions, MRI safety screening, etc.
• In-depth understanding of insurance verification, In House billing accounts, and self-pay exams
• Perform data entry to accurately and efficiently input electronically received radiology prescription orders into shared system
• Greets and directs patients, visitors, employees and physicians in a professional manner.
• Have advanced spelling, punctuation, and computer knowledge; as well as ability to display great attention to detail
• Corresponds with referring offices in courteous and professional manner.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
