In this job, you’ll be responsible for supporting Distribution’s Continuous Improvement Project Management (CIPM) portfolio. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Manage and leverage tools and project management methods to track and report out on portfolio and financial performance
  • Support intake of new projects by valuating the ideas utilizing personnel, finance, and budget information, develop/validate financial benefits, develop metrics and recommendations for prioritization within the portfolio
  • Act as a technical specialist and provide recommendations to the Continuous Improvement Project Management (CIPM) team and other organizational units and oversight of various Catalyst and initiatives for Distribution and the impacts of each recommendation using data, analytics, and other sources.
  • Create new methods and procedures to improve current processes and provide the team the tools needed to effectively manage their projects. Communicate status of the portfolio (financial and portfolio progress) with forecasts to impacted stakeholders and upper management
  • Validate project statuses and ensure internal documents and tracking systems are accurate through written or verbal follow ups and verifications.
Qualifications


The essentials

  • 7 or more years of experience in project related activities and/or analytical role
  • Experience with developing operational policies, procedures, and practices

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • PMP, PMI, Lean Six Sigma, or related Project Management certification
  • Possesses 3 or more years working in a project management capacity
  • Broad range of knowledge in project management, operational policies, procedures and practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of Distribution operations, business mechanics, policies, practices and procedures
  • Has in depth knowledge / experience with the Op Plan process and managing/reporting on organization finances
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork, manage confidential information, drive change through influence, always works with integrity, and high level of self-awareness

  • The position’s work mode is remote. Employee is able to work primarily at home or remote however, the employee may be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
