The canidate will perform chemical stripping of paints and primers to provide access for maintenance personnel to perform depot level modifications and repairs on A-10, F-16, and C-130 aircraft, other routed items, and associated parts. The canidate will perform quality full media blasting (using various media), stripping, and cleaning of aircraft and aircraft components; prepare aircraft surfaces for paint, prepare coating materials, apply coatings to aircraft, and aircraft components, and perform inspections. Canidate's will be required to operate common tools such as paint guns, sanders, plastic scrapers, high-speed grinders, hydro-blasters, various media blast equipment, and other common and pneumatic tools. Canidate's will inspect aircraft for dings, dents, corrosion, and loose or missing rivets; remove flight controls and pylons; tape windows, landing gear, plastic, and fiberglass to protect from chemicals; acid etch and wash; prime and epoxy; apply paint, designs, and decals; and conduct final inspection.
