JOBEssential Duties
The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned but are those that are considered as essential for an employee to perform.
Complete daily cleanings of animal housing areas (dog and cat enclosures).
Maintains a healthy, safe, clean, and pleasant environment and facilities for animals and the public.
Assist with maintaining the inventory of assigned rooms.
Assist in daily behavior enrichment of the animals in the shelter.
Completes spot cleaning of animal areas and shelter as needed throughout the day.
Assists with pet interactions.
Other duties as assigned by Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of high school or GED equivalency AND animal handling experience (PLEASE LIST EXPERIENCE ON APPLICATION). A valid driver’s license, without restrictions, is required. Must have strong interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, ability to multitask, ability to move and lift objects and animals up to 50 lbs. The candidate selected must undergo and pass a drug screening prior to employment.
