BHS ESY LEARNING CENTER TEACHER: MATH, ESY PROGRAM

POSITION OVERVIEW

To plan and provide instruction to students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Planning for instruction of students to maintain skills and information per IEP
• Supervision of paraprofessionals
• Coordination of related service support
• Assessment and communication of progress with teachers and service providers
• Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Mass DESE Mod. Disabilities certification preferred
• Mass DESE Math certification required
• Teaching Experience for Students with Learning Disabilities/Language-Based Learning Disabilities Preferred

SCHEDULE

• July 10 - Aug 3, 2023, 9:00am - 11:00am, Monday -Thursday
• Schedule varies based on needs of program and caseload - to be determined in with coordinator
• Teacher will receive an additional 30 minutes of planning per 2 hours worked
• Additional 1-2 days training prior to start of program
