The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a seasonal Aquatics Coordinator for our summer managed pools in the Windsor, Firestone and Berthoud communities. Our coordinator will report to the Executive Director of Community Association at the branch and assist in organization, delivery, and maintaining the quality of aquatics programming. This includes assisting in program planning, scheduling and hiring staff. You will also assist with guarding pools.

You are a boss. You have experience creating a work environment that fosters positivity, creativity, teamwork, and hard work. You love lifeguarding, implementing policies, scheduling. You are detail oriented and proactive. You know and follow emergency procedures and can respond to emergency situations with calm focus.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 21. Minimum 3 years lifeguard experience.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, or equivalent certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Oxygen Administration certification.
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Past supervisory experience is preferred.

Hiring Salary Range: $19.50-22.50/hour based on experience and we offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff fluent in Spanish and English.

All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
