We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Area Manager with leadership experience and strong organizational skills who can join our team here in the Bay Area. You will be tasked with assisting your designated Program Manager by overseeing day to day operations at an entire location for our top Silicon Valley clients. In your operations role, you act as a liaison between Surefox and its client to ensure that the quality of service is being maintained, and identify ways in which Surefox can be more efficient and effective in its responsibilities.

You will ensure all officers and subordinate leadership assigned to your deployment are performing their duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include but not limited to: overseeing the delivery and consistency of Surefox’s counseling program; identifying deficiencies and gaps in operations that require more training; ensuring the security posture is maintained to the level required by the client; and handling all other tasks and assignments given to you by your Program Manager and Surefox Leadership. Area Managers are expected to be goal-driven and have good communication skills as well as be able to interact in a professional and respectful manner with fellow employees, employees of our clients, and members of the public. What you will do:

  • Coordinate any changes to Surefox posture, and disseminate any information received from the Program Manager.

  • Coordinate with Breakers and all assigned Residential Security Teams (RSTs) to ensure security briefs are accurately updated with the correct information:

    • Site specific BOLOs (Be On the LookOut) & POIs (Persons Of Interests)

    • Events

    • Deployment changes/ updates

  • Work directly with Program Manager and client to facilitate operations related to respective site functions

  • Act as a liaison between the Client and Surefox RSTs when handling:

    • Sensitive employee exits

    • FTE Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)

    • Additional requests from the client

  • Maintain quality control on Breakers and all assigned RSTs:

    • Deployment requirements are up to standard

    • Trackers, rosters & metrics are up to date

    • Audit day to day operations

  • Audit Timesheets for respective areas:

    • Accuracy check

    • Discrepancies are addressed and corrected

    • Review and approval of employees’ timesheets through Company’s Time and Attendance Program

  • Coordinate any personnel changes across all posts and breakers.

  • Take lead during weekly program syncs for respective areas

    • Updating slides, ensuring accuracy, etc.

    • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve efficiencies and systems benefiting Surefox’s daily operations

  • Ensure the Program Manager is kept informed on any discrepancies or information passed down from Client in their respective areas.

  • Be the primary point of contact between Surefox Staff and the Breakers/RSTs for any issues with the employees related to:

    • Payroll

    • Scheduling

    • Military Leave

    • Counselings

    • Conflict Resolutions

  • Ensure all Breakers remain in compliance with Surefox and client specific policies/ procedures.

  • Facilitate any and all deliveries of Surefox documentation, to include:

    • Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)

    • Policy Violations

    • Performance Assessments

    • Positive recognitions

  • Set and achieve goals for your team to promote professional development while achieving Surefox’s strategic goals

  • Train, mentor, and coach assigned Breakers and RST agents through formal and informal feedback through the Surefox Counseling program

  • Ensure all RST agents adhere to Surefox vehicle SOPs as well as DOT laws and regulations while operating company vehicles


What is required:

  • Must be eligible for employment within the United States

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines

  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening

  • Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate

  • Must have a current BSIS guard card or eligible to qualify for guard card

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role

  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

  • Strong judgment and decision making skills, and the ability to think on your feet

  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and confidence to ask questions when you do not understand what is being asked or expected of you

  • Ability to supervise and mentor up and coming leaders, and work as part of a team with fellow managers and senior management

  • Aptitude and willingness to learn your role quickly, and individual initiative to identity and improve any process or issues that you discover in your role

  • Display strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications


What is desired:

  • 2-5 years experience in a supervisor/manager role over a team of at least 10 personnel

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with time and attendance applications for billing and/or payroll purposes

  • Experience in developing, organizing, and implementing training for assigned personnel

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Finance

  • Military, security or law enforcement related experience preferred

  • Professional SOP (Standard of Procedure) & Job Duties level of writing skills preferred

  • Course Certification in any of the following:

    • First Aid / CPR / BLS

    • Diversity / EO / SHARP / Sensitivity Training

    • Leadership & Management
