Position:
We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Firearms Assembler. The Firearms Assembler is responsible for assembling firearms with limited supervision in addition to performing related work in assessing quality standards and ensuring the product meets exacting specification and standards.
Essential Function, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the work day
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery exposure to noise and chemicals
- Must have strong attention to details skills for this position
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects
- Flexible and able to work with various personalities
- Teamwork skills required
- Time management skills required
- The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential- a high level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast pace, demanding environment
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
