SUMMARY
Major duties include monthly reconciliation of all cash, and cash like accounts, account receivable and account payables accounts and sub-accounts. Quarterly reconciliation of all other balance sheet accounts. Prepare items for monthly close, invoicing, and grant compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Reconcile all cash and cash equivalent accounts on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile fixed assets, accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers to main ledger monthly.
- Reconcile Balance sheet accounts quarterly and at yearend.
- Co-sign invoices for payment and approve account assignment of invoices.
- Follow department policy and procedure on obligations, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Verify and prepare department documentation for any incentive payments.
- Prepare documentation and invoices for billing and tracking.
- Ensure compliance with grants, i.e., internal and external audits, CARF standards, non-profit laws, taxes, contracts, etc.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Co-design department procedure on departmental logs of activity, i.e., accounts payable checks, payroll checks, electronic funds transfer, returned check and voided check log.
- Consult with department directors and staff on financial issues affecting their departments.
- Organize and prepare account reconciliations for the annual external audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in reconciliation of complex bank accounts and/or balance sheet accounts. 30 college hours averaging 2.5 and above may be substituted for 1 year of experience up to 120 college hours.
Math Ability:
Level 3: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and intermediate knowledge of Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, and databases.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Language Ability:
Level 4: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
Reasoning Ability:
Level 5: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
License and Certifications:
Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
