We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Assistant Controller with a passion for the medical industry to join our team. This is a full-time position with a relocation package available for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Healthcare, Public Accounting, Hospital, Axiom, Month-end Close, Financial Reporting, Cares Act, Annual Audit, and Supervising Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage the annual audit process, including preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with the Cares Act and other regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Healthcare, Public Accounting, Hospital, Axiom, Month-end Close, Financial Reporting, Cares Act, Annual Audit, and Supervising Staff
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with Axiom or other financial systems preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
