Position Description
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Major/Essential Functions
Investigator/Conduct Officer (75%)
- Investigates and adjudicates cases of individual and organizational Student Conduct, including, but not limited to referrals from student complainants, faculty and/or staff members, the Texas Tech Police Department, University Student Housing, and academic integrity referrals.
- Creates individualized, educationally-based sanctions, conditions, and/or restrictions for individual students who are found responsible for violating the Code of Student Conduct.
- Assists with coordination of all Clery reporting.
- Assists with the coordination of University Student Housing referrals and conducts University Student Housing investigations.
- Assists with campus presentations, education, and outreach efforts related to the Conduct process and the Code of Student Conduct.
- Assists in the development of strategic planning, document creation, Panel Hearing training, and policies and procedures related to administration of The Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with the development of annual goals and the annual report specifically related to areas of responsibility and for other programs and services administered through the Office of Student Conduct.
- Assists with annual revisions of the Student Handbook and Code of Student Conduct for final approval through the Board of Regents.
- Assists with the Office of Student Conduct database management software, Maxient.
- Assists with crisis intervention and academic/personal referrals to University departments and community agencies.
- Supports the ServicePlus philosophy of Texas Tech. Overall exhibits ServicePlus orientation in work attitudes and actions, for example, appearance, attendance, cooperation, timely and courteous response, and attentiveness.
Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Higher Education, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or related field
