Position: Assistant Director Of Operations
Reporting Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly site visits to all cultivation locations
- Oversee goals set by the Director of Operations for growth for each department are being met
- Evaluate and improve operations performance

ROLE SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Operations will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in developing and implementing overall operations and business practices. Additionally, this role will oversee and manage the day-to-day grow, processing, production, facility operations, and staff and lead, monitor, and analyze current systems and procedures of operations, production, and logistics to ensure efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monthly site visits to all cultivation locations
- Oversee goals set by the Director of Operations for growth for each department are being met
- Evaluate and improve operations performance
- Ensure policies and procedures are adopted consistently at all facilities
- Track budgets and optimize expenses
- Ensure management at each facility works productively and develops professionally
- Ensure managers are motivated and productive
- Oversee recruitment and training of new managers in collaboration with Human Resources
- Develop and implement the manager assessment process
- Prepare regular reports for the Director of Operations
- Provide solutions to issues (e.g. production decline, employee conflicts etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Five (5) years in operations management and/or building/facilities management
- Must be able to work independently and exercise independent judgment
- Experience managing the maintenance of multiple facilities
- Proficient in facilities systems and protocols
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs including MS Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational and leaderships skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Self-driven and hard working.
- Demonstrate integrity and dedication and have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.
5 years of Facilities Operations Management experience.
Mechanical systems knowledge and experience required (Example: HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Must pass a drug screening.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility of the facility management team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. { Must beable to individually lift up to 25 lbs }. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected.
