Job description
- Supervise the implementation of those instructional programs, or aspects of programs, designated by the principal, including planning with teachers, modeling instructional practices, and providing training.
- Evaluate school personnel, both certified and classified, as assigned by the principal.
- Supervise and facilitate all Special Education programs and IEP Meetings.
- Coordinate, schedule, and supervise building operations as assigned by the principal, including cleaning, maintenance, lunchroom, playground, co-curricular program, food service, and building usage.
- Coordinate and supervise office business procedures, including inventories and budgets.
- Coordinate, supervise, and implement student behavior management procedures.

VACANCY: Valley View Community Unit School District 365U is seeking an Elementary School Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold Professional Educator License with General Administrative or Principal Endorsement. Advanced training in instructional and managerial leadership, administration. Understands the underlying philosophy for an elementary school that matches the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs of primary and intermediate students. Strong knowledge of Special Education and ELL programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS: The work year for this position is 11 months. Salary for this position is regionally competitive. Valley View offers excellent fringe benefits, including life, health and dental insurance.
