Position Summary

This is a full-time, tenure-track position in the School of Education. Requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising, and overseeing the revision and implementation of MEd. in School Admin.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation and teaching assigned courses 9-12 hours per semester.
• Advising, registering, and maintaining students' pathways for undergrad and graduate students.
• Scholarship, research, publications, and grants within the field.
• Serve on committees at the school, college, and university levels.
• Assist in communicating, marketing, and recruiting potential students.
• Develop updated curriculum and coursework for graduate level education courses.
• Record and maintain necessary data for assessment and accreditation purposes.
• Attend applicable professional development conferences.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Missouri teaching and School Administration Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Knowledge of Missouri Teaching Standards and Use of best practices.
• Knowledge of Missouri Professors of Education Administration. MEES training is preferred.
• Knowledge of and aligning National and State standards to courses and assignments is preferred.
• Knowledge of technology use in the classroom for in-seat, hybrid, and/or online instruction is preferred.
• Ability to implement DEI initiatives in and outside of the classroom.

Education and Experience

• Doctorate in a field of Education or Special Education is required.
• Current or prior certification for Missouri Teaching and/or School Administration is required.
• three years of teaching at the K-12 level and 5 years of School Administration experience is required.
• Experience with education program accreditation at the state and/or national level is preferred.
