Summary:
The Associate Director, Government Programs Operations will lead the mandated rebate programs and team that is responsible for the day-to-day ownership of Medicaid, Medicaid Supplemental, Medicare Part D, TRICARE, and quarterly rebate processing and quarter-end reporting and analytics.
In addition to leading the Government Programs Operations team, the Associate Director will lead system platforms implementation for mandated rebates as well as align with end-to-end pricing platform development. This role will report to the Director, US Strategic Pricing Operations.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team that is accountable for the mandated rebate function
- Implement rebate system to ensure efficient and accurate rebate processing and effective validations and recoveries
- Managing migration from BPO based model to in-house rebate processing
- Execute accurate and timely rebate processing and post processing trend and analytics
- Provide trends around Medicaid/Medigap at national, regional, and account level to inform finance accruals, forecasting inputs and segment utilization
- Develop launch plan to ensure new drug registration, appropriate rebate validation setup, rebate process testing, and post-launch analytics to support forecast accruals
- Inform team and broader organization of policies and trends in Medicaid, Medicare Part D, and TRICARE programs
- Attending 340B/Medicaid/Medicare Part D industry conferences
- Identify and articulate improvement initiatives aligned with group and departmental goals and actively lead and/or participate in process improvement projects
Qualifications:
- Proficient working knowledge of all mandated programs (Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, TRICARE, MediGap), complex SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and work process flows
- 4 plus years industry (biotech/healthcare) rebate processing experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in internal and external audit requirements and required documentation
- Experience building and leading high functioning teams
- Experience implementing rebate system platforms
- Proficient in data analytics within support systems and streamlining large data sets
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Self-starter with impeccable ethics and integrity, proven communication skills, both verbal and written, with a clear ability to effectively communicate amongst different levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines on competing priorities
- Track record in identifying process improvements and successfully implementing change
- Highly collaborative with outstanding communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
