Job description
Epson America is looking for a business-minded transactional attorney with demonstrated privacy and data security experience to handle a wide range of legal matters to support its multi-billion dollar business in the U.S. and Canada. This responsibility will include supporting sales and marketing for several commercial product lines, customer and vendor contracts, and providing general legal support for Epson’s commercial business. This position will also be responsible for legal issues in the constantly evolving area of privacy and data security.
This position will be based out of Epson America’s headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA and can be Remote or Hybrid.
At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month. We understand that life happens. We want to provide you with a hybrid policy that allows for you to work remote the majority of the time if you prefer. We offer flexibility and work-life balance, plus an opportunity to interact in person a few times each month at our new 2-building state-of-the art campus.
Requirements:
- Prior in-house experience supporting sales, marketing and product development for technology products strongly preferred
- 8-12+ years experience
- Enthusiastic team player with strong communication and project management skills, as well as business judgment and ability to assess risk
- Demonstrated privacy and data security experience
- Strong desire to learn and contribute to the success of Epson’s business
- Candidates must have California bar membership or active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Local candidates preferred

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $189,921 and $245,780. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
