Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Operations Support (Planning) - South Branch. The Operations Support Planning Associate will collaboratively and cooperatively work within their team and on cross-functional teams. This will require working with competing priorities and keeping multiple stakeholders apprised of decisions.
The Operations Support Planning Associate will provide functional support to the Operations Planning Team. This also means connecting the geographical branch teams with the functional area for which they are assigned in order to keep connected promoting one team. They will motivate and inspire coworkers, contractors, volunteer leaders, and volunteers to further Team Rubicon service delivery within assigned geographies.

This position reports to TR's Manager, Operations Support and is remotely based out of the South Branch (AL, GA, MS, AR, LA, NC, SC, FL, KY, TN, TX, and OK) with future potential relocation to Atlanta, GA.
Duties:
- Participate in the development of standards, policies, and processes for response, recovery, and mitigation operations
- Identify, analyze, and propose solutions to improve department and functional processes
- Develop reports and evaluate business needs / business performance / process compliance in a manner that increases visibility, data synthesis, and coordination
- Support continuous improvement efforts to ensure measurable change
- Assist in the planning of operations in all phases of the disaster cycle as needed
- Coordinate and ensure execution of After-Action Reports to capture and implement organizational learning from disaster response operations and exercise scenarios
- Mentor functional volunteer leaders
Experience and Background:
- 1-4 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields
- Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers
- Experienced with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers) and external stakeholders
- Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience with Power BI, data management, and project management platforms
- Preferred: Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS and location information visualization platforms
Special Requirements:
- This is full-time; remote position based in these states: AL, GA, MS, AR, LA, NC, SC, FL, KY, TN, TX, and OK. This role also provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Evening and weekend schedule supporting leadership meetings, video conferences, events, and operations
- Local Travel: Reliable transportation is required. The person filling this position will be expected to travel within their local area to support ongoing efforts
- Other Travel: At least 25-50% non-local travel to support broader organizational activities focused within the assigned territory

- $50,262 – $62,828 per year
