Job Description
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Input property level profit and loss statements and project rent rolls for reconciliation and analysis
- Learn Agency program rules and industry standards to develop underwritten pro-forma projections for net cash flow for multifamily assets
- Critically analyze third party appraisals, property condition reports, phase I environmental, and seismic for agency program compliance
- Complete market analysis to determine trends in income, demographics, rents and occupancy levels
- Develop understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily standards and processes
- Assist underwriter with preparation of loan committee narrative submissions and Freddie Mac submissions
- Assist underwriting team in the preparation of all deliverables in connection with loan closings
- Complete project site inspections nationwide to assess quality, condition, and position within a competitive set for proposed collateral
- Additional ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Interface with underwriting staff, production staff, and external parties in a professional manner
- Travel Required <10%
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; concentration in Business or Finance preferred
- 2+ years business experience in finance or real estate preferred
- Multifamily experience and prior experience in a professional work environment is a plus
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment and collaborate well with multiple parties
- Ability to problem-solve, exercise a high degree of accuracy and complete multiple tasks on schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
