Our LIHEAP Department is searching for a Community Coach to conduct assessments for clients of the LIHEAP Program who are seeking assistance. This will include long term monitoring of clients, providing energy conservation, financial education, and workforce development as needed. Attend community events of various types in order to extend services through other social service agencies and community partners. Maintaining relationships with collaborative partners and cultivating new ones. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data. Working with clients to educate individuals on becoming economically self-sufficient. Offering supportive counseling and advocacy to clients and their families, providing resume building, how to conduct a job search, and best practice interviewing workshops. We are looking for a strong advocate who is interested in supporting clients efforts to have their voice heard and to help them obtain the services they need to help them become self-sufficient.
Education and Licensing Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma and computer literacy. Have your own reliable transportation, auto insurance and a valid drivers license. Three years of experience working with families and elders is preferred. A BCI will also be conducted.
