Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Job Summary: Under direct supervision, the Athletics Facilities Laborer I will assist with the maintenance of the buildings and surrounding grounds associated with Athletics. The laborer will assist with the maintenance and repairs of equipment used to maintain athletic facilities. S/he will assist in noting the daily conditions of the facilities, assist with supply control and assist with the setup and teardown of events held at the athletic facilities. The laborer may assist in directing student workers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions. Ability to operate tools, equipment and machinery used in grounds keeping operations. Demonstrated basic mechanical skills to maintain tools, equipment and machinery. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job up to 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
