Autism Specialist
Job description
Our organization is currently hiring an Autism Specialist/Teacher to work with children with special needs. The PDA profile is a new horizon in Autism - these kiddos are amazing and nothing like you may have seen before. They are funny, social, smart, active and independent. They are also stuck in a world where we expect them to fit in a box - and they live outside the box. They are our Steve Jobs, our Bill Gates..... and we want to help them make our world better.
You will join our friendly and enthusiastic team of professionals who help make a positive impact on the lives of both our students and families. The right candidate will have experience working with young, often times gifted, children, be a strong communicator, and possess the flexibility required to deal with complicated situations. Our students frequently have autism, anxiety, adhd and sometimes are profoundly gifted. As young elementary students they struggle with emotional regulation when the autism and the anxiety collide. We are finding ways to work with them!

- Ability to have multiple lesson plans ready for any given day that are student led interests in order to be flexible and follow the student's lead
