This critical role within the Workplace Services organization will guide the IT Asset Management team in building, implementing, and enforcing a governance framework to ensure proper controls and operational processes are in place to support a global hardware asset management (HAM) strategy.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design for the development of Moody’s ITAM Governance policies. The AVP will develop ITAM standards and guidelines for Moody’s hardware environment to support the life cycle management (LCM) of computers, peripherals, mobile phones, printers, networking equipment, data centers, and other hardware assets in support of Moody’s business strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide leadership, facilitation, analysis, and design for the development of Moody’s ITAM Governance policies. Primary Responsibilities:
- Defines high-level action plans to address the gaps between the future and current state, typically in sync with Technology Services Group budgeting and other capital planning processes.
- Actively participates in long-range strategy planning to identify and address complex business issues.
- Coaches, mentors, and collaborates with technical subject matter experts and peers to develop an ITAM governance strategy that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
- Operates a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by the ITAM department.
- Develops, implements, and supports processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with the organization’s business needs, with a focus on data security & governance.
- Leads the analysis of the current ITAM environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.
- Performs analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine industry best practices and their potential enterprise impact and/or value.
- Assists efforts across the organization to improve data governance and organizational capacity to use data in decision-making.
- Develops and tracks metrics for reporting on risk and progress against key initiatives within the wider Technology Services Group.
- Supports periodic reviews by internal audit, compliance teams, and other risk-related functions as required.
- Fosters a culture of continuous service improvement (CSI) to improve quality, efficiency and standards across IT infrastructure and services.
- Socializes and ensures implementation of policies and procedures throughout the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant field of study.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT industry or relevant area.
- Extensive knowledge of IT service management (ITSM), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and IT standards and controls.
- Familiarity and experience with ServiceNow.
- Detailed understanding of IT service portfolio development and governance, including definition, design, and standard operating models.
- Ability to understand the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term perspectives of situations and how they relate to achieving targeted business outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing and understanding complex issues and their interrelationships by having strong creative thinking capabilities to create innovative solutions and concepts.
- Ability to effectively articulate messaging (verbal & written) to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic, end-to-end business perspective with strong execution skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, conceptual thinking, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated teammate who brings energy, passion, and intellectual curiosity to the role.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers and leaders within the organization.
- Industry Certification in relevant areas is a plus.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $137,100.00 to $172,900.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
