R&D Baker:

Join an exciting new food brand in NYC that is in need of some part-time R&D assistance at a kitchen in Manhattan.

About You! You love healthy eating, R&D, baking, you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty and contribute in the kitchen. Bring your ideas, attention to detail and creativity to the table. You’ll be working with our co-founder and CEO on continuous improvement with our cookie company.

  • Role will be part time for TEMP work (5-15 hours a week)
  • 6-10 Hr Shift Weekdays and/or weekends.
  • Above average hourly pay
  • Must be available to work on occasional weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mixing dough, production, scooping, baking, and packaging cookies
  • Any other needs in order to facilitate the cookie production process
  • Printing out trial recipes ahead of time.
  • Ordering ingredients as necessary, maintaining ingredient stock
  • Washing down equipment/tools
  • Quality control and management
  • Knowledge/Implementation of all HAZMAT/DOH procedures

Traits:

  • Ok with dispersed, part-time work. We cannot immediately offer regular 10-15 hours a week. For the first 3 months, this will be an as requested role!

  • Knack for seeing improvements that can be made in systems and goes out and improves those processes

Experience/Requirements:

  • 2-3 years food industry experience
  • Recipe development experience
  • Wants to bring new ideas to the table. Welcomed but not required.
  • Quality assurance obsession
  • Experience managing a team (1-2 people)
  • Ability to work on your feet for a full shift and lift 50+ lbs throughout the shift.
  • Education: High-School Degree or equivalent, Culinary School Graduate

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
