The Bartender will be the face of hospitality in our 4 restaurants and many private events. He or she will mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to order, ensuring the proper account is charged for each drink served, and observing all bar service standards. In addition to preparing drinks for servers to serve directly to members, the Bartender will prepare drink garnishes and miscellaneous bar snacks for daily use as appropriate in different locations. He or she will perform set up procedures for all glassware; follow opening and closing procedures including completing and signing checklists; ensure unauthorized personnel are not admitted into the bar area; and check and maintain the supply of any bar food provided in various locations. The Bartender will ensure the bars are maintained in a neat, orderly fashion and work to support the goals and objectives set by management for Hillcrest bars. This is an untipped position is for someone who enjoys getting to know regular customers and values great benefits and stability over tips.

Position Qualifications:
A service-oriented personality, warm, friendly and outgoing without being overbearing
Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a similar luxury environment
Able to prepare and serve all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and to pass bartender/server test
Knowledge of proper serving standards
Able to quickly master content of HCC wine list and beverage menus
Knowledge of price and portion control; able to take inventory and account for all bar charges
Exceptional communication skills, able to understand and fill Member/guest orders quickly
Organized and productive
Exceptional grooming habits including maintaining a clean and uniform as designated by Management
Punctual and reliable
A team player able to work well with others
High school graduate level education and current Food Handler and TIPS certification preferred
