JOB DESCRIPTION: BARTENDER

Summary: Bartenders at The Shuckin’ Shack have fun, get to be themselves, and are passionate about taking care of their guests. Our bartenders don’t hide in the back or huddle with other staff members, they are totally engaged in showing our guests A Good Shuckin Time! At Shuckin’ Shack we are guest obsessed and take pride in greeting each guest as soon as they walk in the door, genuinely thanking them when they leave, and inviting them back. Our bartenders learn all about our Craft Beers, Signature Drinks, Wines and Food offerings so they can offer our guest the best of what we have that meet our guest’s desires. SOB Bartenders must possess the desire to help their fellow staff members. There are no fussy uniforms here, just shorts and t-shirts, while we are providing an exceptional guest experience. Required Experience: 1-year bartending and serving experience in a high-volume setting.

Required Knowledge: Employee must complete responsible alcohol serving class and stay up to date on all alcohol service and safety laws as specified per state.

Required Skills:

• Outgoing personality and a passion to make people happy.
• Ability to accurately free pour within established pouring guidelines.
• Dexterity allowing the manipulation of assorted small wares and dispensing of beverages.
• Basic math skills allowing for efficient accounting of revenues and reconciliation of daily check-out.
• Basic reading skills in order to interpret menus, recipes, standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Abilities:

• Must be fun, personable, and passionate about what you do.
• Be able to inspire your guests to have a great time through exceptional service.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for 8-hour shifts.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize as responsibilities and customer needs arise.
• Ability to be part of a team.

Essential Job Duties:

• Deliver a fun and exceptional dining experience to our guests.
• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food as ordered by customers.
• Be able to engage our guests with a high level of confidence in knowing all our products.
• Handle money accurately.
• Keep all areas of responsibility clean, neat, and organized.
• Follow all food safety guidelines as applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Be an Ambassador of the Shuckin’ Shack Brand.
