TOP Early Learning Center is looking for a fun, dedicated, friendly, Behavior Specialists with a bachelor's degree in early behavior health, psychology, special education or other related field to work with children ages 12 months and walking to age 5 in an early education school/center in Wichita, KS.

The Behavior Specialist will have prior experience working with toddlers, and pre-school age children, with a commitment to supporting students and families.

Located at TOP Northwest - 2665 N. Arkansas, Wichita, KS.

Below are a few of the responsibilities of the Behavior Specialist. A full job description is also attached.

• Develop intervention plans with strategies and goals that are relevant to expressed concerns of staff and families.
• Provide support with the implementation of strategies, ensuring child/family goals are evaluated with the team on a regular basis.
• Support a well-coordinated referral process to other community resources, as well as coordination with local school districts as needed.
• Works collaboratively with mental health partners to ensure quality services throughout the agency.
• Provide coaching and support in behavior management and guidance implementing/modeling developmentally appropriate strategies meeting the individualized needs of children.
• Ensure the safety, physical and emotional well-being of TOP children is maintained.
• Collaborate with center director in evaluation of staff members for permanent status or separation after a probationary employment period.
• Ensure the program atmosphere is positive, nurturing and warm
• Reports directly to the Center Director'

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and bend repetitively throughout the day and be able to sit on the floor with children
• Be able to relate positively to young children, families and staff.

Salary $44,990 annually
