Position Overview

We have a wonderful Full-Time opportunity to join our Evoke Wellness Ohio Operations team as Behavioral Health Technicians.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) acts as a representative of treatment staff and observes all patient activity, maintains a visible presence on the clients at the treatment center and at outside activities. The BHT will also circulate throughout the treatment center and alert to fire and safety hazards. The BHT could be responsible for driving the company vehicle to ensure clients arrive safely and on time each day for scheduled activities.

Position Responsibilities

1. Developing a daily structure for clients.

2. Developing a weekly structure for the clients.

3. Overseeing clients.

4. Transporting clients to and from appointments and meetings when necessary.

5. Instructing and confirming the company’s rules and regulations for new admissions.

6. Orientating new clients to the facility.

7. Facilitating communication with ancillary services.

8. Attending clinical and administrative meetings to integrate inter-departmental sharing of information.

9. Building positive relationships with staff and physicians. 10. Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.

10. Following Infection Control Guidelines always.

11. Reporting personal symptoms of a suspected illness or contagious diseases to the Infection Control Nursing staff.

12. Completing and forwarding a copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues immediately to the Executive Director.

13. Providing a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients.

14. Observing self-administration medication for clients

15. Assisting nursing with clients waived tests when needed

16. Providing reports on the rounds made that shift to the Supervisor.

17. Facilitating client’s rules and responsibilities and reporting noncompliance to the Supervisor

18. Being sensitive to Cultural Issues in the workplace and with clients.

19. Reporting Suicidality/Homicidal inclination and attempts of all clients to the supervisor and / or nursing staff.

20. Demonstrate competency and understanding in Addition.

21. Ability to respond appropriately to issues of Trauma of a client and report to proper authorities, such as supervisor or nursing staff.

22. Reporting and responding to issues of Co-Occurrence disorder of all clients to proper authorities, such as supervisor or nursing staff

23. Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Competencies

• Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program

Education & Work Experience

• Graduation from High School or GED
• A minimum of 1-year experience in the treatment industry preferred
• Current and valid Driver’s License

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts

Shift schedules are:

• 1st shift: 7am-730pm
• 2nd shift: 7pm-730 am

Physical & Travel Demands

• Able to lift 30Lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Current CPR certification and First Aid.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
