Located on the World Renowned Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes, The Cycle Haus Bikes & Brews is seeking a Bike Mechanic/Renter to assembly, maintenance, repair, and rent a fleet of 50 + bicycles. The bike technicians will be responsible for the proper functioning of the bicycles, including troubleshooting as necessary. Training on technical and unique aspects of bikes will be provided. You’ll be a part of a team that focuses on effectively operating bicycle rental, sales, and service with emphasis on building strong client relationships while exceeding the highest standards for service.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that bicycle repairs are completed in a professional and timely manner.
• Respond to requests from the Lead Mechanic.
• Assist in maintaining an OSHA compliant workplace.
• Ensure that all necessary reporting is accurate, complete and timely.
• Perform bicycle repairs and maintenance.
• Perform in-field bike checking as necessary.
• Represent The Cycle Haus positively and share information about the program with the public during the course of executing duties in the field.
• Work to help manage the inventory, organization, and cleanliness of the work space.
• Maintain a positive relationship with all co-workers.
• Cross-train as requested in other roles
• Answering phones with regards to bike repairs
• Balancing customer accounts at check out with damage costs if necessary.
• Calling customers in regards to bike maintenance and equipment needs
• Minor bike and equipment repair
• Organization of shop equipment
• Physically lift and move bikes
• Knowledge of Trail of the Coeur d’ Alenes(sites, bathrooms, services, lodging, campground, distances ..etc)
• Knowing basic services in Harrison, on Trail of the Coeur d’ Alenes, and Lake Coeur d’ Alene to be able to field questions -from customers.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience in professional bicycle repair is a plus but will train the right person who has some bike repair knowledge

• Ability to report to work at the The Cycle Haus operations center in Harrison, Idaho and/or field locations, as needed.
• Familiarity with area geography and trails is necessary, however, we will train.
• This position may require frequent or prolonged standing, sitting, bicycling, bending, stooping, and/or lifting up to 50 pounds. We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
