Summary: *
Ross & Baruzzini is looking for a BIM/Production Lead who has advanced experience with Revit. This role will provide the unique opportunity to work on some of the most advanced, innovative and renowned projects as part of the Ross & Baruzzini Team over both the North America and International Arena.
Responsibilities: BIM Manager:
- Setup and ensure standard drawing directory structure is utilized
- Review and provide project team direction related to project specific BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow criteria
- Develop technology files as required for production and team efforts.
- Advocate and drive collaboration and coordination efforts for projects
- Setup and test model integrity through use of NavisWorks, Rushforth Project and Enscape to ensure a clash free model as required by the project
- Assist in upload of deliverables to ensure that the project requirements are met.
- Create and modify Revit content based on predetermined expectations and intended use
- Identify and correct model issues
- BIM 360 Administration for Projects
- Willingness to learn other beneficial software packages such as Dynamo
Management
- Work under direction of the BIM Technology Director
- Provide oversight and resource allocation to meet project deadlines for submittal and document transfer to clients including uploading drawings, files or other materials to project/client specific websites or file transfer systems.
- Function as the production subject matter expert: maintain a high user level of knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit to support questions regarding both software use and technology/MEP specific tasks.
- Assist in the coordination and management of production team based upon team skill sets and project requirements/schedules to meet quality and schedule expectations
Standards
- Follow existing BIM content standards and development procedures
- Regularly review and maintain existing families, shared parameters, templates, dynamic blocks, and layers.
- Develop and document standard AutoCAD blocks (including dynamic features, look-ups, and attributes) and Revit families (including 3D features, 2D symbology, and parameters)
- Review and recommend potential add-ins for production applications
- Review and recommend work-flow revisions for improved productivity and accuracy
Digital Delivery
- Assist with the advancement of technologies that apply to a Digital Delivery System (i.e.: AR, VR, MR)
- Identify Cloud based solutions that can improve process or productivity
Training
- Develop AutoCAD and Revit production training materials specific for the technology markets for approval by management
- Conduct training sessions based upon user needs (i.e. engineer level use verses production level use)
Quality Control
- Review project files for adherence to Company/Project Standards and protocols
- Coordinater with the Project Manager regarding required QC reviews
Production
- Supplement production efforts as required to ensure project delivery in a high quality, timely manner.
- Produce special systems / telecommunications drawings from engineer's direction and mark-ups
- Print and export drawing sets for collaboration internally, externally, and as required by the project
Qualifications:
- Associated degree or higher from accredited program
- Strong experience in producing drawings for building system designs using REVIT and AutoCAD and a minimum of five to ten years' experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task
- Additional consideration for experience with Navisworks, Enscape, 3ds Max, and Dynamo
- Good knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical engineering terminology
- Track record of being dependable, self-motivated, and having a desire to learn
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Preferred experience should be in aviation, healthcare or government markets
