Title: BINDERY / FINISHING OPERATOR
Location: South Seattle
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Salary: $23 - 28 per hour, DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate bindery and finishing machines such as stitchers, cutters, folders, gluers, and die cutting equipment.
- Ensure that assembly practices comply with established policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot problems and report findings to appropriate program manager and departmental managerial team.
- Perform typical Bindery operations to support the assembly floor.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines.
- Work overtime as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of experience with Bindery/Finishing machine operation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This position is frequently exposed to noise – hearing protection (PPE) must be worn.
- Hand dexterity and strength
- Flexibility in work hours may be required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
