As a Black Belt, you are tasked with solving service delivery issues that may directly cause customer dissatisfaction resulting in client and revenue loss or reputational impacts. In addition to service delivery improvements, this role drives efficiency efforts that boost processing productivity and reduce operating costs.
Being successful will require you to partner with business leaders and SMEs (subject matter experts) to identify and improve business processes that ultimately bring value to Element and our clients. You will need to be creative and not afraid to figure things out when data or other business materials are not readily available to support your initiatives.
This role is well suited and aimed at someone who has leveraged Six Sigma processes (DMAIC) in a services-based industry (business to business).

A Day in the Life
  • Lead improvement projects through all stages of the basic Six Sigma process (DMAIC) across various areas of the organization
  • Provide leadership and guidance for the project participants (process owners, subject matter experts, technology specialist, etc.)
  • Conduct data review and other analysis to determine root causes of service performance failures
  • Document via flowcharting existing processes, identify fail points and develop solutions
  • Works directly with internal clients on either client specific service issues or as part of a larger service improvement effort
  • Provide coaching to managers in support of their improvement efforts.

Requirements
  • BA/BS; advanced degree preferred
  • Black Belt certification
  • 5+ years of business experience in a services environment leading business improvement efforts
  • Project management certifications or comparable preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio)
