Job Summary:
Operating a DM45 rock drill in a quarry near La Sal, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Operating a down hole drilling rig
- Drill blast holes 25' to 80’ in depth
- Maintain drill in proper working order through regular service and minor repairs
- Accomplish all drill production without harming the drill
- Comprehend all drill tooling, their functions and how to properly and safely apply to the drill rig
- Understands the limitations of the drill rig and the performances it can safely provide
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Ability to work productivly with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Drilling experience in a surface mining environment is preferred but not required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Work Conditions
- Ability to work a 12 hour shift with a flexible shedule
- Will have time on and time off and will be switching shifts back and forth with another driller
- Ability to work overtime may be required

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
