Job description
The Booking Office Assistant's role is integral to the flow and organization of the booking office, which handles all shows at the 9:30 Club, Lincoln Theatre, The Anthem and Merriweather Post Pavilion. It is the assistant's responsibility to be in charge of all administrative duties within the office and between agents, managers, promoters, etc. They should be very organized and able to communicate comfortably and efficiently both on the phone and in person. This role will require a high level of attention to detail. A strong knowledge of the DC local music scene is also a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage booking database and organize all booking emails
- Generate detailed show calendars and stay on top of due dates and follow ups
- Answer phones
- Handle community connection between:
- Local bands
- Local promoters
- Local events
- Answer and coordinate local booking inquiries
- Maintain a detailed tracking system of all shows happening in the market and update that information regularly
- Correspond with agents on calendar avails and show details
- Organize show folders for Anthem, Merriweather and Lincoln
- Assist in administrative duties as needed
- Manage office space
They must be very comfortable in a fast paced environment and ready to calmly handle any challenge as it arises. The Booking Assistant will report to the two co-heads of the booking department at IMP.
To be successful, you must have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
