Job description

Purpose

To maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expanses, assets, liability, and capital. Reconcil GL and bank accounts. Ensure that reports, accounts, systems and practices adhere to generally accepted principles (GAAP)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter daily and monthly general ledger transactions including investment activity and schedules.
• Reconcile general ledgers for various accounts as assigned.
• Research and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accounts payable for the credit union.
• Generate a variety of reports and statements as requested by management. Prepare financial statements and reports. Examples of reports include; cash flow report, spread analysis, interest income/dividend expense, income statement, balance sheet, P & L statement.
• Review daily cash balances.
• Set-up and run all prepaid and fixed asset items in the depreciation program.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starting, hands-on professional. The candidate should have proven experience working on a complex / high pace environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Financial Institution experiences preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Effective in managing multiple tasks and keeping organized

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
