About the Position
This exciting role will help us deliver on our commitment to sound, reach more customers than ever before, and secure new revenue streams for the organization. Sitting within the brand strategy team, this role will lead our efforts to create, operationalize, and govern the branding for our strategic partnerships. You will help drive the future of our licensed brand(s), in close collaboration with our senior leadership, cross-functional teams, brand licensing agency, and external business partners.
Key Responsibilities (include, but aren’t limited to)
- Build on our existing brand licensing strategy to establish a clear and comprehensive approach to our licensed brands.
- Provide strategic direction for the creative development of licensed branding and corresponding guidelines/assets
- Own relationship with our brand licensing agency, driving towards timely delivery of assets needed for our strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with business strategy and product marketing teams to evaluate potential partners, with an eye on driving revenue while also maintaining Bose’s brand equity
- Act as a “brand ambassador” to licensees, in partnership with the business strategy team.
- Train licensees/partners in the use of our creative assets and approval systems
- Work hand in hand with licensees, providing guidance on creative output
- Provide support in the contract management process
- Maintain weekly updates with internal and external collaborators to track status and address any issues.
- Meet regularly with cross-functional partners such as Brand Comm & Platform leads to drive alignment on strategy/execution on both inbound and outbound deals; and discuss future needs
- Partner with legal to ensure accuracy in contracting- negotiations- and other legal protocols are completed for deals
- Monitor license agreement compliance
- Ensure brand POV and standards are incorporated into any content developed directly by Licensing partners
- Review annual marketing plans with each license partner
- Present quarterly business updates to senior leadership
- Identify opportunities to leverage products, co-branding and collaborations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar marketing role
- Strategic development – experience defining, planning, and shaping strategies and initiatives, ideally within brand licensing
- Ability to set direction, build recommendations and drive them through the organization
- Ability to work with highly sophisticated projects in a cross functional team
- Experience leading or contributing to complex projects
- Ability to creatively solve problems with an out of the box mentality
