Summary/Objective: Under general supervision of the Housing Crew Leader, Housing Crew Members will work on a variety of jobs from CAAC’s housing programs. Position works to ensure mandated installation, equipment, product and repair procedures are adhered to. All work performed goes towards our goal at CAAC of helping people and changing lives!
Essential Functions:
Responsible for daily operations of Housing Services Programs jobs under general supervision of the Housing Crew Leader.
Completes all paperwork with efficiency and accuracy regarding housing and weatherization program policies.
Maintain a positive attitude towards assigned work, clients/staff, and a willingness to work with others.
Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, understanding of our clients’ situations, punctuality, and dependability.
Maintain all programmatic and client confidentiality standards.
Maintains hard copy and digital records of client paperwork as it applies to each job
Attain or maintain certifications as required by programmatic stakeholders.
Communicates with internal staff at all levels.
Coordinates and completes project-based work.
Other duties as assigned by Housing Crew Leader and/or Housing Manager

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Work Environment: Lifting of required equipment pertaining to program needs. Some work may require entry into tight locations such as attics and crawlspaces. Otherwise, normal office and jobsite conditions exist. This job operates in a professional environment, in off-site venues and outside event areas. Role routinely uses standard office equipment, general construction equipment, and home performance diagnostic equipment. Work exposed to a variety of weather conditions and outdoor elements. Some work may require entry to attic and crawlspace areas of homes.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must have the ability to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
Classification/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Schedule determined by program needs. Evening and weekend work may be needed as job duties demand.
Travel: Frequent travel required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Paid mileage available for work related travel (using a personal vehicle) and paid lodging for overnight stays.
Required Education and Experience: GED and three plus years of successful work, and experience with volunteer or non-profit organization preferred. This position has paid training opportunities available.
License/Certification:
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
- Retrofit Installer Technician (highly desirable)

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
