Bus Driver

Possible Hours of driving operation: Monday-Friday, 7am-10am and 2pm-5pm

Benton Harbor Charter School Academy, a PreK-8th grade charter school in Benton Harbor, seeks a school bus driver to ensure that the students are picked up and drop off safely to school and their home. Occasionally will be asked to drive PreK-8th grade students to and from scheduled field trips and athletic events. Must have CDL with P and S endorsements, clean driving record and spotless criminal background.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• Valid Driver's License with CDL B, P, and S endorsements
• Exemplary work habits verified by previous employer.
• Exemplary driving record.
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
• Solid record of punctuality.

Desired Requirements:

• Experience in transportation.
• Knowledge of school bus traffic laws, safety, mechanic, and routing preferred.
• Experience in a school setting with school-age children.
• Valid certifications required by the Department of Transportation and Michigan Department of Education.
• Knowledge and skills working with At-Risk students.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.
